RDA Examples Editor appointed

The RDA Steering Committee is pleased to announce that Honor Moody will succeed Kate James as RDA Examples Editor. Honor will begin as RDA Examples Editor Elect on May 1, 2019 with an eight month training period that overlaps with Kate's term. Honor will then take full responsibility in January 2020, serving a two year term.

Honor Moody has worked within the Harvard Library for 18 years, beginning as a library assistant in the Judaica Division, where she cataloged western language Judaica in all formats, before spending 12 years as a cataloger at the Arthur and Elizabeth Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America. In her current role as a Metadata Creation Manager for Harvard Library Information and Technical Services she oversees the team responsible for original and modified monograph cataloging for the Andover-Harvard Theological Library, Countway Library, Fine Arts Library, Frances Loeb Library, and Loeb Music Library.

Honor has been active in the zine librarian community since 2011, and has given numerous presentations on zines and zine cataloging, often with an emphasis on ethical considerations for catalogers as we create increasingly robust and public descriptions of creators. She currently serves on the ACRL/RBMS Bibliographic Standards Committee as its liaison to the Committee on Cataloging: Description and Access, on the PCC Standing Committee on Standards, and on the PCC Task Group on Linked Data Best Practices.
